What reviewers say
We found no recent hands-on expert pick for this model. It's here because it is one of Amazon's best-selling single-serve brewers; Wirecutter's Keurig guide prefers the simpler K-Express. — Wirecutter, The Best Keurig Machine (updated Mar 18, 2025)
Best for: Homes where some people want pods and others want a full pot.

Strong brew on the pod side
Good drip coffee, per Wirecutter
Cons
Hot plate can make coffee taste burnt after two hours (Wirecutter)

Wirecutter's also-great Nespresso pick: smooth espresso plus an 8 oz cup of (strangely foamy) coffee that beat anything it tried from a Keurig. — Wirecutter, The Best Nespresso Machine (updated Apr 28, 2025)
Expert picks counts how many of the independent publications we used named the model as a recommended pick in their latest guide. It is a count, not a rating, and the publications are listed under each product. Price tier is a rough guide from maker list prices ($ under $100, $$ $100-299, $$$ $300-999, $$$$ $1,000+); we don't show live prices, so check the retailer. A "Popular pick" badge means the model was on Amazon's best-seller list but none of our expert sources picked it.
FAQ
Keurig or Nespresso?
Keurig uses K-Cups, which are sold almost everywhere and make American-style coffee. Nespresso machines make espresso-style drinks (and, with Vertuo, larger coffees) from aluminum capsules. Wirecutter found Nespresso coffee better-tasting than Keurig's, but Vertuo pods are proprietary and pricier.
What does the Strong button do?
It slows the brew so water spends more time with the grounds. Wirecutter says it brings more flavor and depth to typically watery Keurig coffee.
Can one machine make pods and a full pot?
Yes. The Keurig K-Duo has a pod brewer on one side and a 12-cup drip carafe on the other.
